Portable Projector_How to Make It ? |
| projector | comments: The projector is the most important item: it has to use the minimum amount of power, as this is the one device that sucks up the energy. Lumens are what to look for: - the light needed to project the image. So the less the lumens the harder it is to see the projected image. but the less energy used So you need to decide what is more important light projected or lenght of the projection. Weight is an issue: remember you have to carry everything - the cheaper ones are the heaviest and not the greatest amount of lumens just shop around a little The fact that the image from the Epsom came out of my stomach added to the concept. NB: The way the video plug goes into the back of the machine is relevant. The plugs could stick in to your stomach. For some projectors this means that the image would have had to come out sideways and so you have to turn to see the image. I projected onto building walls, billboards and then onto smaller things like the packets of pesticides **Similar models were nFocus, Play Big, IN74EX |
the products: I looked at several
* I used and old Epsom Powerlite 5550C * PK projector - 75 lumens - Projector cost: $499.99 But I also had the BenQ MP510 from Texas instruments - |

Free Radio Berkley - International Radio Action training Education Is a great resource to go to put your transmitter together in Berkley. And basic information about transmitters |
I used the Ramsey Stereo FM 25b cost: $139.95 http://www.ramseyelectronics.com/ This was perfect for me as I did not want to have to get a license yet is strong enough to transmit into passing cars as well as across the road etc. NB: I went cheaper and wanted to learn how to put the transmitter together myself so did the soldering myself - thanks the Tom Jennings it worked. Remember to test at both low and high frequency as per the instructions because that will stop of a lot of interference from other radio stations!!! |
