Thraxpat - HIGH MUSEM of ART: Over 3,500 hand dyed, hand sculpted and and sewn flourscent, pink orbs, were magnetically attached to the inside of the elevator - an amalgamation of pathology and anthrax. The idea that the elevator, is an artery of the building and the consuming, enclosing environment inside the moving elevator perhaps reflecting the experience and reaction/response we have toward disease. Myself and over 30 volunteers created 3,500 indivdiaual scupltures during 3 months. They represent the artifical manufacture and alternate use of substances and objects inside and outside the body. A different kind of beauty. Visitors to the museum were able to take the objects home, acting as carriers as the small scupptuyres migrate throughout the world. |
